Debut Park Min Young ke dunia hiburan terbilang cukup unik. Waktu itu SidusHQ (management company Park Min Young) sedang mem-browsing Cyworld minihompies dan secara tak sengaja menemukan homepage milik Park Min Young. Mereka menganggap Min Young cukup mempesona dan memutuskan untuk memanggil Park Min Young dalam casting.

Park Min Young memulai karirnya pertama kali di akhir 2006 dengan menandatangani kontrak dengan Korean Air sebagai model dari perusahaan penerbangan ini. Ia mulai tampak menojol dalam berakting ketika membawakan peran untuk pertama kalinya di sitcom Unstoppable High Kick (MBC). Kesuksesannya beradu akting langsung membawa Park Min Young membawakan peran lead female di drama KBS I Am Sam (2007) sebagai Yoo Eun Byul yang menggemaskan. Di tahun 2008 Park Min Young kembali mendapatkan peran utama sebagai gumiho dalam Hometown Legend (KBS2).

Tak hanya peran protagonist, Park Min Young pun berani mengambil peran antagonis dalam Princess Ja Myung (SBS, 2009) sebagai Ra-hee, saudara tiri Putri Ja Myung yang akan mengancurkan kerajaan Nangnang. Di tahun 2010, nama Park Min Young kembali bersinar setelah membintangi dua drama, Running (MBC, 2010) dan Sungkyunkwan Scandal (KBS2, 2010). Berkat Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Park Min Young meraih tiga penghargaan, yaitu Excellence Award, Novella Drama – Actress, Netizens’ Award, dan Best Couple Award (bersama Micky Yoochun). ELFs hold onto your chairs because there’s some exciting news for you to hear! If you live in the States, you know what the TV show “Glee” is, right? The Golden Globe Award-winning show is gearing up for its return with a third season, the first episode premiering on September 20th. What’s really exciting is that some KPOP will be heard on the third episode!

Rumor has it that for the season’s third episode, “Asian F“, Harry Shum Jr.’s character Mike Chang will be singing and dancing to Super Junior’s “Mr. Simple“! In the episode, Mike scores an A- on his chemistry test, or in other words, an Asian fail (according to stereotypes). His dad then wants him to drop out of New Directions and focus more on his studies, leaving Mike conflicted about what to do.

So if this really is true, then I can see why the picked the song. The lyrics fit perfectly with the situation presented: “There must be times when my performance goes up then down too
It’s okay, it’s also good to rest then keep going, because everything has its time”.
Fingers crossed that this is really true! “Asian F” will air on October 4th, so be sure to tune in!
But really. Just the though of a KPOP song being on a national American Television show?

Personally I really started to like/love this group recently <3 My favourites so far are the Leader Hayong, and Jaehoon(mainly just because he’s a rapper xD). I really liked their debut song, though I still haven’t listened to the whole album YET :/ Though I’ll do it soon! ^^
